Jatiwangi Art Factory, located in West Java, Indonesia, has long rooted its practice in community life, initiating the triennial ‘Ceramic Music Festival’, ‘Village Video Festival’ and the biennial ‘Jatiwangi Residency Festival’. OCAC’s collaboration began with dispatching one or two Taiwanese sound artists to the site in 2019 and working with former OCAC resident Ismal Muntaha to plan longer-term cooperation between Taiwanese experimental sound artists and Jatiwangi Art Factory.
