Launched in 2020 as a cross-border sound and experimental music programme, ‘A Fly Entering the Ocean’s Boundless Breath’ gathered curators and sound/moving-image artists from Taiwan, Indonesia, the Philippines and Thailand. The pandemic reshaped it into online and locally-distributed actions, probing whether sound can re-open bodily perception. In 2024 it extended into the Taipei Biennial as ‘A Fly Entering the Ocean’s Boundless Breath. A Pack of Mice Fearlessly Breaking Trail in the Jungle’, co-curated with Lacking Sound Festival.
