Close to Home is a 2025 touring screening programme initiated by Open Contemporary Art Center (OCAC), bringing works by Taiwanese Indigenous directors to Yogyakarta, Copenhagen and Paris. The programme continues the thread opened by Un/Uttered (Osaka, 2024) of sustained attention to Asian Indigenous moving image and sound. Curation is led by P.M.S. and coordinated by OCAC; each station is conceived not as a one-off screening but as an encounter with the local art community — a starting point for ongoing dialogue and collaboration.

- Dates 6–7 Oct 2025
- Venue Ruang MES 56, Yogyakarta, Indonesia
- Programmer P.M.S. Coordinator Open Contemporary Art Center
During the Yogyakarta Biennale, OCAC and P.M.S. presented a two-day screening at Ruang MES 56 — one of the most established art spaces in the city. The programme featured video works by four Taiwanese Indigenous directors, paired with Q&A sessions, artist talks and a “Taiwan Night” gathering, introducing the local art community to Indigenous moving-image practitioners from Taiwan and seeding future collaboration between the two scenes.
Other 2025 international touring and residency partnerships running alongside this project include Art Hub Copenhagen’s The Empowered Collective Dreaming, and visits by speakers from Asia Art Archive’s Histories and Archives of Independent Art Spaces in Asia international forum — weaving Taiwanese Indigenous moving image into a wider Global South / archipelagic network.
