In this project, we represent a stimulated container on the surface of a real one. By taking the pictures of a model container from each side, and then applying the prints on the surface of the original one, we attempt to create a virtual situation and present our anticipation of a re-constructed container.
In this project, we represent a stimulated container on the surface of a real one. By taking the pictures of a model container from each side, and then applying the prints on the surface of the original one, we attempt to create a virtual situation and present our anticipation of a re-constructed container. The anticipation shows our expectations of media and its possibility, which has great influence on our generation; such as mass media, medium, image structure, imaging mechanism…etc. The connections between each other were deconstructed into elements, and then, re-constructed.
The World Games 2009 Kaohsiung is going to take place next summer. In* Kaohsiung International Container Arts Festival*, the containers in exhibition will be transported to other major harbor cities around the world, sending the message of The World Games 2009 Kaohsiung worldwide. With this practice, the effort of urban development and sustainable local management in Kaohsiung city will be made known to the world and so will the superiority of its humanistic sensibility. It is expected that the long-famed beautiful island, Formosa, would again impress tourists with its originality and creativity in art.
