After the success in attracting local art circle’s attention in the 10th Docks Art Fair while working with Olivier Houg Galerie, Le Centre Culturel de Taiwan à Paris work with them again in La Biennale de Lyon in 2011; using the platform of Biennale to present to international artists and professionals the important contemporary artworks from Taiwan. Responding to the Biennale theme A terrible beauty is born (Une terrible beauté est née), the exhibition use the title A terrible poetic (Une terrible poétique); inviting Taiwan’s new generation Open Contemporary Art Center group to organise the exhibition. They presented three large components, the diverse content includes - a conceptual mock-up of Biennale souvenir production and sales, title-responsive mix media and light box installations, and video playback design working with the exhibition space features. This project intend to break the set forms in an exhibition, proposing in the current international curatorial system, how Taiwanese new generation artists present a conversational relationship that is delicate, and seemingly reachable yet unknown.
