「在我們理性，唯物與現代的社會裡，科學家持續探索人類意識的奧秘。然而，我們已經在古老的傳統裡找到許多可能的答案：薩滿，或者中國的『巫』。對薩滿而言，我們的日常意識分，並不是我們僅有的意識，而我們肉眼可所見的世界也不是唯一存在的世界。薩滿擴張或改變他們的意識狀態，為了各種目的而潛入靈性的世界—絕大多數是為了療癒人們。Sonic Driving則將這三維的現實視覺化，它們分別是：薩滿的上層世界（對應錄像）、中層世界（薩滿鼓聲）、下層世界（素描）。」
「在古老的時代，薩滿是他們所在部落與社群的治療者，偶爾也擔任領導者。他們與神靈之間溝通的預測和技巧，決定了其部落的生存。循著這個路徑，我們將在新作Sonic Driving深入另一個世界的旅程，藉由薩滿擊鼓的技藝，同時邀請神靈指引著朝向如人類的未來。」（陳瀅如，〈Sonic Driving〉）
本回《海盜、電波、防疫圈 #3》線上見面會活動中，將邀請策展人柯念璞與藝術家陳瀅如對談，透過宇宙學系統，利用占星學、神聖幾何、鍊金術等符號，來詮釋社會、歷史中的權力結構如人類行為、國族主義與國家暴力、烏托邦思維與集體意識等議題。目前透過靈修與薩滿實踐探索意識的無限可能性。

“In our rational, material and modern society, scientists continue to investigate the mysteries of human consciousness. However, we have already found many possible answers in our ancient traditions: shamanism or in Chinese, “Wu” (巫). For shamans, our ordinary consciousness is not the only consciousness we have, and our visible world is not the only world that exists. Shamans expand or alter their consciousnesses to enter to the spiritual worlds for various purposes – mostly to heal people. Sonic Driving visualizes this tripartite reality: the shaman’s upper world (video), middle world (drumbeat sound), and lower world (drawings).
In the ancient times, shamans were the healers and sometimes leaders of their tribes and communities. Their predictions and skills at communicating with spirits determined the survival of their tribes. Following this path, in Sonic Driving, we journey to the other world, by shamanic drumming technics, and ask the spirits for guidance on the way toward the future of humanity.”
