「Lakec」為阿美族語「渡河」之意。本片為臺灣的阿美族導演Posak Jodian在馬來西亞藝術家Jeffrey Lim協助下，拍攝首部關於馬來半島的影片。2018年林猷進在Posak Jodian引路下拍攝馬太鞍、蘭嶼和小碧潭等地原住民的〈Kanta Portraits人像攝影計劃：臺灣〉之後，2019年Posak隨著林猷進前往馬來半島的都市與山林、離島的部落，透過部落子民的視角，用鏡頭「書寫」馬來西亞多元民族國家的半島原住民傳說與生命。〈Kanta Portraits人像攝影計劃：臺灣〉與〈Lakec: A Very Simple River〉目前都在台北美術館由高森信男策劃的《秘密南方》二樓展間展出（2020/7/25～8/25）。

Piracy, Radiowave & Bubble #1 Posak Jodian + Jeffrey Lim (Screening & Sharing)

“Lakec” means “to cross a river” in the Amis language. “Lakec - A Very Simple River” (2020 Version) is the latest film about the Peninsular Malaysia by the Amis filmmaker Posak Jodian and facilitated by the Malaysian artist Jeffrey Lim – after their first collaboration in 2018, the filming of the Taiwanese tribes of Fata’an, Orchid Island (Lanyu) and Xiaobitan in “Kanta Portraits: Taiwan”. They visited the towns and forests across the Peninsula, or even the offshore island tribes in 2019, to “portray” the life experiences and oral traditions as a collective and pluralistic entirety (which we should feel akin to) through the lens of an indigenous Taiwanese director. The screening of the project will take place in the Facebook Live, followed by a discussion with Jeffrey Lim and Posak Jodian, conducted by Luc (OCAC) and Okui Lala (Ruang Kongsi) respectively. Jeffrey started his “Kanta Portraits: Taiwan” during his residency from 2017 to 2018 assisted by Posak. Both Posak’s film and Jeffrey’s project are now exhibited in TFAM’s The Secret South, as part of the “Nusantara Archive” section in the show curated by Takamori Nobuo. (25 July ~ 25 October 2020)
